What lxw ratio do you want it makes a huge difference in the angles?

8.4x6x5.1 84.9% depth.
1.80ct
If that don't demonstrate that depth means nothing with fancy step cuts
It does create a marketing issue however.

Im working up a 40% tabled crown, getting the crown right is the hardest part of the whole process once a workable crown is develped the rest is easy.

Are you working on a 3 or 2C?

would you call that a rectangular asscher or a modified emerald cut?? Heehee....

Personally, I think that''s an awesome shape. How do you think it would fair on fire and light return, and all that good stuff?

Storm...,try going back to the original shape...
The shape in subject needs a balance..., the straight edge at the length needs to be longer than the straight edge of the width...

Show me a P1-54, P2-41, P3-32 or 31 deg. on the mains...
P1-51, P2-39, P3-30 or 29 deg. on the corners...

Elongated Asscher?? The length of an EC with the facets of an asscher?! YUM!
But would the depth play a part in the light return? Just gorgeous!

Is there a name or brand for this cut?

I just recently saw it in the trade and wondered if it was just a modified emerald shape cut for retention of a specific rough, or cut to improve clarity...
