I love the way your band sits flush along the bridge of your halo! Very beautiful set! Similar to the look I was going for but smaller stones on the halo and band.I had the same struggle when I changed my solitaire into a halo. At the time, I didn’t want my rings to have any gap between them. As the years have gone on, I find myself wearing the rings separately or with other bands since it is a very ‘blingy’ look. I have a larger finger than you and I decided to go for a 5 point halo so I think it has something like a 13mm spread across the top. My center is 2.01 VS2 with G halo/side stones. I also didn’t want the stone flush with the setting so it was lifted and the halo tucked underneath so there is no airline. The head was lifted to allow the band to sit flush without it being too high. I tried doing it locally first and I had a ring produced that looked nothing like I expected and it cost me a small fortune. It was so top heavy it couldn’t stand up on its own. I decided to go with Debebian’s in LA and they did a wonderful job with Sam the owner. He can do anything DK can do and always returns the calls/email’s. I know this isn’t exactly what you are after but it gives you an idea. I would definitely have the two designed together rather than a stock setting. I like the idea of a ring being built around my stone and would rather go a more affordable custom route than paying for a designer stock but name brand semi-mount...but that is just me!
I think you can get what you are looking for just by shrinking the whole thing down from what I have. My halo looks like it sits high but it doesn’t really. I can easily get a pair of gloves on in the winter. I love cathedral settings with halo’s as they feel sturdy and don’t tip as easily. You just need to pick the right jeweler and get them designed together so they have the perfect flush fit.I love the way your band sits flush along the bridge of your halo! Very beautiful set! I have come back to say that I am impressed and delighted with how my cathedral round halo and matching band from Victor Canera turned out! It is set at the perfect height, and feels so stable that it doesn’t even turn or spin. The matching band sits perfectly next to it, and I love how the pave melee in the settings align. It feels so strong, yet delicate. It is the prettiest halo I have ever seen and I did not like many halos when I shopped around locally. It compliments my 2 carat stone so well without overpowering my size 3.75 finger! The whole ring has so much presence. I’m glad I went with the thicker shank- I requested 2-2.2mm each shank. I don’t think I could make a better setting if I looked at CADs or designed it locally. I wouldn’t change a single thing! It’s so hard to get a good picture with my lighting at home. Excuse the preggo belly you may see in the pic. The pics don’t even do this sparkler justice! View attachment 656169
Beautiful! I am working on a design myself and it's going to be for a 1.5ct stone with 1mm pointers. Might be a bit smaller than yours, but do you know how high it was set?
