I am helping a friend search for a cushion cut, budget around 10,000.

Cut - best

color - will go to J if it had fluorescence
clarity - prefer VS2 but would do a COMPLETELY eye clean SI1

carat - largest within best cut

Any help on where to look for best cushions is greatly appreciated.

Modern or antique?

If Modern: Hearts and Arrows cushion or generic?
Antique: Actual old cut or just a vintage faceted?

If you don't know the exact answer, do you have pics of the her inspiration rings?

Modern:
Non-Hearts and Arrows (ASET shows excellent to ideal light return): http://www.engagementringsdirect.com/1.50-carat-h-vs2-x-factor-cushion-cut-diamond-gid-155243.html
Hearts and Arrows ideal light return per AGS: http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/diamonds/diamond-details/1.378-i-vs1-cushion-diamond-ags-104066516013

Antique:
Vintage faceted ideal light return per AGS: http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/11105/ and http://www.victorcanera.com/diamonds/edm2xd

Those are the best options in the price range with the specs you want.

And those are the best vendors too. But JA has nice cushions as well, just needs some hunting that I can do for you once I know what you want a bit better. And they just replaced their ASET so they are good to go. Just let me know what to search for.

I think she would be more into modern cushion and not the chunky cushions

Love the BG cushion but I know she wants to get a higher ct weight also with cut, so she will go down in color to J to get it

The ERD is going to be a strong contender: http://www.engagementringsdirect.com/1.50-carat-h-vs2-x-factor-cushion-cut-diamond-gid-155243.html

Here are two from JA you can ask for ASETs of:

http://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/cushion-cut/1.91-carat-j-color-vs2-clarity-sku-282697

Remember that with fancies you have to compare spread not carat weight. Despite the twenty point difference in weight those two are going to look the same size. Spread matters not carat weight with cushions.
