trying to get close to the tiffany nuvo look if possible. If not than oh well.

The novo is not a 4 main cushion and it is an 8 main and perfectly square meaning Length/Width Ratio = 1 or very close to it.
In your spec range I''d have JA, or mark at ERD or Bob Hoskins at WF call in either or both of these:

The second one is spreadier but there is no way to tell either''s optics without a ASET image. The above vendors would have to call them in and take a look they all should be able to match or beat the BN price, my suggestion is to call Mark at ERD as he has the most experience with these particular cushions and deals with this vendor the most.

I''ve seen rectangular Novos at Tiffany.

How would you say the Novos you saw compared to the stone in these videos?

No way to tell from the numbers alone. Need loupe and ASET images. Also request for a sarin scan for the crown height.


Are they eye-clean?

Every time I look at a help me with a cushion thread the first post is either "is this good" or "which of these is better" followed by "that isn''t enough information" lol

Its really tough to find nice modern 8 main or 4 main and in that price range it is going to be really tough.
If you are open to a vintage style I''d say for the money this stone will have optics second to none in your price range http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/6559/.

That GOG cushion looks really good.

Decisions I wish I could see that other diamond in person. I am having it inspected the 1.11 J color VS2. The GOG K color vs1 looks really nice but a little bit smaller.

Question lets say I purchase the diamond from Gog, what about settings. looking for a sleek micro pave setting for under 1k. I had the one I wanted at Jamesallen but if I dont the diamond there I can send it to JA to get it set correct? Getting down to the wire

Ask Jon about the setting, he has access to many more settings that he shows on his site. I believe JA will set a diamond bought elsewhere and they will assume responsibility should the diamond break whilst setting, this costs in the region of $100 as far as I know - if Jim sees this he will correct me if I am wrong or elaborate further.

I decided to go with that cushion, for the price point and size and a fairly nice aset image I didnt want to pass it up. I have attached the report I wanted to find a cushion expample like the facet structure of the stone I will be purchasing. Any one have a cushion with this stype of facet structure or is pavillion??
