Cushion Cut

Can anyone tell me how much I should expect to pay per carat for a premium cushion cut of 3.5-4 carats that is G - VS2 or better? How are these stones classified (round, oval)?

Is the diamond an old mine cut cushion or a modern cut cushion shape? The cut characteristics, such as the total depth, table size, culet size and crown height may give us a pretty good idea. Then, and only then, comes any value estimation.

I'm in the process of looking for a diamond in that range. Should I be looking for the old mine cut or the modern? How should I expect the two to differ in price? I appreciate your thoughtful advice.
