Yeah, but California has millionaires like Vtigger too!!!!

don't forget about me! i may hate it, but i live in NYC too! (although i only wish i was a multi-millionairess.) i will soon be eliminated from your ranks, though, to join researcher in the SoCal bracket.

oh--and my (now long overdue) e-ring is a 2.07 carat G/VS2 modern cushion cut in a micropave bezel setting.

Can i have an AMEN!

We all can't wait to see your amazing e-ring reena! Let's end the torture already

we're going to have to start naming Fridays the 'how big is your e-ring' poll day rather than Tiffany day, since it seems we can't seem to cover all the bases with 2 polls, now 3 and it's still not good enough!
rodent.gif
how could anyone forget over 2.5c? hello this is Pscope!! we're insane about diamonds here. oh and by the way, we're not normal diamond buyers either.
2.gif
wait what's normal?

when was the last Tiffany post anyway? I feel bereft!

So if I moved to NYC I would have a bigger stone?!

Damn! Maybe that's why me and my little rock live across the water in NJ...

Atually my town is replete with HUGE rings. I saw a girl no older than 20 or so on the train with a 5 ct honker, another young lady had a 3.5ct...

I would venture to say the average size here is at LEAST 2ct or so... these gals are all young (under 30) and have over 2cts center stones...
nono.gif

I feel so sub-par!

Mara, by the way, I think Tiffany's is THE only place to buy quality jewelery, and they are absolutely well worth any premium, especially on round brilliant e-rings...

Go!...

Oh I so absolutely agree, Nic!

It's it's it's alive....

My thread has come alive....

Who would've ever thought?

Anyway as Kerry and Bush would say:

"DONT FORGET TO VOTE" (in the e-ring pole that is)

LOL...reena, you hadn't responded yet...
And Nicrez- yes, the minute you go over the bridge the ring is bigger LOL

You couldn't be making a wiser decision! SoCal is great--especially San Diego. There's nowhere in the world I'd rather live!!!

)

you know what's inevitable: one day we're going to be standing next to each other in line at the grocery store, and we're going to recognize each others' rings!

don't leave us reena! our sister stones deserve to be together lol

there's only room for one of us in this town, MMM.

it isn't often that you see heart shaped diamonds on this board, so i thought i'd pop in and give my specs
1.gif

my e-ring is a 2.01ct, vs2, F, 1B cut, heart brilliant solitaire.

Does anyone know if I can edit a poll? I would like to expand it with more detail for the 2.50+ category.

post pics please! i'd love to see your ring!

thank you, reena! i have been secretly coveting YOUR e-ring and can't wait to see the final pics!

these pics do not do the stone justice...at all! i haven't had the chance to figure out the macro setting on my digital camera yet, but you get the idea

yay! VERY pretty!
appl.gif
you're right, we don't see heart-shaped stones as often around here. you should post that (and some hand pics too!) on a SMTR thread--i'm sure everyone would love to see it!

this was my artistic attempt! the hand-with-hydrengea shot!

unfortunately, my size 9 fingers diminutize the stone! oh well, always room for an upgrade later

What a lovely heart! And you have a very pretty hand, too.

thank you! it took us quite some time (and much help from pricescope!) to find the perfect heart. FH was adament about the stone being a heart and i was equally adament about it being a good cut. there aren't many well cut hearts out there!
