Simpler pieces - I feel like we're seeing fewer pieces that are dripping in pave around here, and I like the trend toward the cleaner look

Again on PS - I'm *loving* the trend toward well-made specialty pieces. More people are splurging for spectacular workmanship, and there have been *so* many absolutely GORGEOUS new designs lately

IRL - not seeing much of anything new. Still lots of mediocre halos, dull but gigantic princesses.

I actually like the keys - but only the smaller, more delicate ones.

Also, I really, truly love princess cut diamonds, even though they are apparently a big fad. I remember the first time I saw one about five years ago, and it immediately became my favorite cut. That was back before I knew anything at all about diamonds, and at the time, I actually thought that princess cuts had been around for as long as rounds.

I have to admit, I really love a lot of David Yurman pieces. Many are expressing a dislike for DY in the other thread, but I really love some of the chunkier/funkier pieces. I will admit that the prices are insane!

I also really like black diamond pieces. I have a large "cocktail" style ring that is dripping with tiny black and white diamonds, and I get more compliments on it than other piece I own.

And of course rings with BIG colored stones.

I know, it says they're ovals on Leon's website. I'd love one of these as a wedding band. I wonder though, if it'd be difficult to find that many matching ovals without bowties, in the same color, size and shape.

I also love the DBTY style bracelets... I am in contact with a vendor right now to have one made with 3 .20RB, bezeled in rose gold on a white gold chain

High karat gold. I covet it. Adore it. So much so, that I'm about to take the plunge and purchase about 50 feet of 22K 22 gauge wire to make an ancient-design fused gold chain out of it....or 30 feet of 20 gauge...haven't decided yet.
