The diamond I''m looking it has a crystal and cloud right in the middle of the table on top. It is a VS2 and it has no other inclusions listed on the GIA report, just that. Now, it''s not visible to the eye I think, also I had a hard time finding it with a loupe but it could be a crappy loupe or I suspect, I just suck at finding it. The jewerly showed me on the microscope but I couldn''t tell what it was because I have no idea what a cloud and crystal are suppose to look like.

So having a crystal and cloud on top, does it make a big difference in light performance, is that why even though it only has those things, it''s a VS2.

I guess it just gets me thinking because the Stone was GIA graded in March of 2003 and still hasn''t sold yet. I mentioned in another thread that it has perfect specs, so why could they sell it earlier..hmm..

Thanks

Alex

Sounds fine.
If the inclusion is close (usual) to the surface it will not reflect.
If a VS2 sized inclusion was placed around the crown the same inclusion size is likely to be graded as VS1. The labs always take the position into account. Sometimes people with great eye sight can spot a VS2 in the crown. I have never met anyone who can spot one in the table.

The cloud must by definition be very small. SI2 clouds can dull light (sometimes). You are a long way off that.
