Hey guys and girls

I've been doing some research for the last few days and have found what I think is a good diamond! My only reservation by looking at the certificate only is the crown and pavilion angle.

The details of the stone see as follows :-

Round brilliant
1.53ct
7.4 x 7.41 x 4.57

GIA XXX
No fluorescence

Table = 56%
Crown = 35 degrees, 15%
Pavilion = 41 degrees, 43.5%
Girdle = 3% medium faceted
Culet = none

Total depth = 61.7%

It is quite highly priced and was wondering whether it is worth it? It is just outside of the ideal proportions. Then again i am sure the ideal is even more rare and costly.

What are your thoughts on the potential light leakage and general proportions?

Many thanks in advance.

I have had a diamond with those angles before, and it was fine. However, I would not buy one with those angles without an idealscope or ASET image because it also could have leakage. Also, have you compared prices online if you say the price is quite high?

Hi

Yes I have compared with others on bluenile. They will not provide any images of the diamond unfortunately. Im just wondering how critical some of these figures are that's all.

One has a 58 table (1.58ct, 7.48x7.52x4.61) with a CA 35. PA 40.8 and 61.4% depth. Another has the same figures but with a 56% table (1.5ct, 7.37x7.41x4.53)

What do you think is more preferable.

Thanks
