Cross-bar? Split Shank?

Hi!

I just posted another thread, and I'm trying to figure out a way to incorporate a "cross-bar" into my e-ring.

I don't know what the terminology for this is, but I've attached a picture. I love the little "bow" that "wraps" around the split shank, and I wanted to design something like that with a shared prong split band, so that the "bow" wraps around both shanks near the center stone (if that makes any sense)!

What is the term for this?

I'd love to Google some more pictures of this type of setting, but have NO idea what it's called.

Trellis settings have prongs that cross each other. But that ring you attached is a pretty unique ring. I don't think there is a specific name for those little diamond sections on the sides of the shank.
