Hello Ladies and Gents

I've been lurking this website for roughly a month now and have found it extremely helpful.

I've narrowed down my budget and diamond specs to be the following

Round Diamond
Carat Weight: 1.24->1.3
Cut: Excellent -> Very Good (I've also been filtering out diamonds above 1.0 HCA)
Clarity: VS2->SI2
Color H-J (H i'd imagine will be hard to find on my budget, I prefered unless there is no noticable tinge on the J)
Budget: 5000usd
Flouresence: Ok with flouresence as long as it's not cloudy and will enhance the diamond

Diamond #1

Diamond i've been eying.

https://www.eternitybyyoni.com/diamond_detail.php?id=2472857&ref=pricescope

I was eyeing this diamond based on it's exceptional cut and I like that it has a good diameter of 7.01 x 7.05. Gia report shows faint flouresence.

The issue here is that the gia report shows several inclusions worry me. I'd prefer the diamond be eye clean. What do you guys think these inclusions would be noticeable?

Diamond #2

This diamond has a lot less inclusions but is of J color. Vendor responded to my emails and said there was no color tinge and is eye clean.

If you guys think i'd be better off with another diamond i'd love to hear some alternatives :)

Thanks Folks!

Thank you for providing me with those options!

I do like the first one but none of the settings they have look anything like what the lady selected.

I'll have to see about getting it set locally.

Any other options? Any opinions on the ones I posted?

I'm requesting the idealscope images from jamesallen

Thank you again!

What type of setting does she want?

As for your initial choices, I wouldn't buy an SI2 without seeing it or having it evaluated by a professional that I trust. The first stone has a big crystal right on the table so I doubt it's eye clean. The second one has a cut grade of Very Good, which is not good at all. Stick to GIA Excellent cut grades only. Even the excellent cut range is very broad and some stones are much better than others but we suggest parameters to help you stay in Ideal range:
table: 54-58
depth: 60-62.3
crown angle: 34-35.0 (sometimes 35.5 if the pavilion angle is 40.6)
pavilion angle: 40.6-40.9 (sometimes 41.0 if the crown angle is close to 34)

Ended up finding the setting on enchanted diamonds but in comparison to other resellers it seems to be quite expensive.

https://enchanteddiamonds.com/rings/search?cost_max=10000&cost_min=100&shape=R#ring=4W-16R

Getting the setting she wants from enchanted diamonds will put me beyond my budget.

I'll look at possibly ordering as a loose diamond and setting it locally or move down to a solitaire.

If you run across anything else please do let me know.

Thank you for all your help!

Using the dimensions AC117 provided (thank you) I found two additional diamonds that i'd like to get some feedback on.

I was able to get bluenile to put them on hold and provide me with the idealscope images and aset for another.

Can you please let me know what you guys think of the following diamond? As of right now it's between these two and the enchanteddiamonds diamond.

Thank you ladies and gents.

1.28 J VS2 HCA 1.7 Medium Blue Flourescence

The images of the 1.28 are only hearts and arrow images not an ideal scope image so we can't tell anything about light performance from them (an h&a viewer will give you white arrows, an IS gives you black arrows). The ASET of the 1.23 is really nice! Even a little better than the enchanted diamonds stone since it has less green around the edge. I'm impressed BN is stepping up and starting to provide these sorts of images!

They were really great about it.

I messaged them asking for the images and they put the diamond on hold for me while they contacted whoever was holding the diamond to get the images.

James Allen on the other hand refused outright and told me only their true heart diamonds had images.

So based on everything which do you believe would be the better buy?

1) The 1.26 diamond at 5210 usd from enchanted
or
2) The 1.23 diamond at 5390 usd from bluenile

Also first diamond has strong blue flouresence and the second has none.

Sorry for the million and one questions, it's just really daunting. I've never spent this much on anything but a car or a home, both were big purchases.

One of my concerns is that being in the J color spectrum it might be beneficial to have the flouresence of the enchanted diamond despite the aset image of the bluenile being slighty better.

What do you guys think?
