I was doing some reading on how some vendors will send a stone to rate, and toss the worst rating.

Do you guys think these could be the same stones? Or is it just that much of a coincidence on the depth, table and dimensions?

If it's the case, how explain the different weight?

Yes, but it's only .02. Are the different labs that accurate to all measure exactly the same weight?

They sell by the carat weight and machines easily measures up to 3 decimal points of the carat weight. You think they would get the wrong weight, risk their profit or a law suit for mis-representation?

. Weight is the easiest of the attributes to measure and the labs have highly accurate scales. You actually differ on several other attributes as well. I think it's highly unlikely that they are the same stone.

I see. I was just curious as it seemed the dimensions were so close that 2 different labs could be off just slightly like they are in color and clarity.

Btw Denverappraiser, I will probably be contacting you once I finally receive the diamond I am purchasing. Would like to get an evaluation from you. I'm in Denver as well.
