Could someone help re a small knot in a VS2?

HI guys. Though I had the perfect diamond ordered... VS2 triple excellent, HCA 1.0, I colour.


Have it paid for then realised it has a tiny knot. I have been told by vendor it's eye-clean. I am just worried about the structural integrity. Would this be an issue in a VS2?

It can be.

The problem that can happen is the crystal gets knocked out of the hole and the clarity grade drops and there can be increased durably concerns.
It is more of a concern on the crown or girdle as the pavilion is more protected in a setting.
How much of the crystal is exposed and how well it is held in place is also a factor that must be considered.
Not to be alarmist but I would not buy a diamond with a knot on the crown.

frankly I would and keep looking.

If you post what your looking for and your budget the prosumers would be happy to help you find alternatives.

I cancelled the order. Not sure if I did the right thing, but my gf would be the type that could knock it around a bit.

I think it was a correct decision to cancel. You were not comfortable with the purchase.
If you stick with I color, $4000 gets you 0.90 carat
