Order 2 rings to compare from Facets and return the one I don''t like?

I really don''t want to do this! But I can''t decide on whether I should stack 2 thin eternity bands with my Ering or just go with 1 thicker one. I have tried to go to B&M''s and compare but its so confusing because I keep trying on 1.5 mm eternity bands with different carat weights. So its hard to picture what I will actually get. Also, I haven''t seen any thin shared prong princess cuts, only rounds, and I would be getting princess.

My concern is that the thin bands may be so thin that there won''t be enough sparkle, but the thicker band may over power my solitaire. I feel like I would need to have them both at the same time to compare.

During the course of my searches on this site I saw a thread that seemed like someone ordered two bands from them with the intention of returning the one they didn''t want. I can''t find the thread now, but it seemed like that''s what they did.

It just seems unreasonable to ask them to make me two bands when I know I will be returning one. Also I was going to ask for a quarter size. It seems morally wrong to do something like this.

That shouldn't be an issue at all! I recently ordered the 13-stone Facets Duo from them. The day before it was to be shipped out to me, I called them to tell them I had purchased a new, larger stone and wanted to switch from white gold to platinum. The were very nice and accomodating and didn't make me feel bad at all for the last minute changes!!!

Others have had no problems retruning items to them...

Have you posted images of your ring yet? We sure would like the experience of seeing your decision play out. Your delimma may help another...and better yet, someone may chime in who made the decision you are having to.

I really like the two band idea...only because it seems to equal the weight...and it gives you more options. Had you considered upping the carat weight on the two bands...just buy the one now and the buy the second one later? I mean is the price what is holding you back from going with a larger carat weight?

However if you bought the larger stone ring...it could be worn alone, at times it may be best not to wear your solitaire. So you really have a great argument for both choices.

Also I bet you aren''t going to be convinced of the sparkle of the smaller one until you see it. So I think YOU have to order it. Please just inform your sales clerk what your intentions are...I am sure they will be willing to accommodate your exercise.

Thanks Door Knob, I think I''ll start a new post asking for help from everyone.

I believe it waws Katiedid who ordered the two rings from Facets, returned both and then order thering from WhiteFlash.

Facets is awesome. but definitely make them away that you may return one or both!
