Here, let me introduce you to my new friend, a 3.64ct bubble gum pink tourmaline. Okay, it is really hard to capture the real color. The color in the vendor's pics is more accurate.

A picture of the rough:

Vendor's pics:

Pictures from Canon. The color should be more pink, but it didn't show in the pics.

Picture from another camera. Seems better.

She's so pretty! The cutting is TDF. You probably just need to adjust your camera settings so it captures the color better.

    yum yum yum.... you and that B.E.A utiful stone have now confused me yet again on what i would like for a center stone for my new little project!!!

What kind of setting are you thinking about getting for the bubble gum gem?

About the setting.... I did some search and saw this:

Garrard%20(2).jpg

Any other suggestion? I want a setting with halo.

In my (limited) experience, pinks are the most difficult colors to
photograph accurately for me.
The second set of photos looks so nice and crystal clear !!!!
SUCH a pretty stone ~ Those setting ideas are Bling-a-licious !!!

those settings are stunning , cant wait to see what you decide on :)

I often hear people talk about window here... Does that only count if it shows when you look at it from top down?

It's sooooo pretty!!! :appl: It is going to look gorgeous in a halo!

Since I am taking pictures for the tourmaline. I also took pictures of my other color-stone pieces.

This is a 4+ ct spinel ring:

These pieces are from my bf, soon-to-be-husband. There are bees and spider. I fall in love with them instantly. My bf called them the flies and cockroach collection just to make fun of me.

Special edition for the HK Airport shop. It is in rose gold and the center is a garet.

Here is a yellod good set.

That gorgeous tourm will be a killer in the setting -- are you using diamonds as sides? Beautiful cutting! The bees are adorable!

Thank you JewelFreak. I think white gold and diamond only for the setting. I hope that will make the color of the tourmaline shows better....

I love your tourm, but I especially have to say I ADORE your insect jewellery! I would love to own more (I just have a couple of costume pieces), and I think a fine jewellery bee brooch may be visible in my tea leaves...

Kaismommy, what is your project?

beautiful collection! I love those sweet earrings!

What a fun collection and that tourmaline    Simply gorgeous!

Your new friend is STUNNING! :naughty: I also adore the halo settings you found. It will be a spectacular ring for sure.

The faceting of your stone looks just beautiful! I know it's hard to capture colors accurately with a camera-- would you say the color is close to the vendor's photos? I ask because I absolutely love this shade of pink!!

Thank you everyone. I am glad that you like it too. I haven't really finalize on the setting yet. If anyone of you have better ideas, please feel free to bring it on.

Baby nurse - the color of it is more close to the vendor pics. I love light pink!!

I am only getting a say in the center stone , but i am looking for my engagement ring stone , i keep deciding on a stone ( well i think i do) then a beautiful little gem like yours pops up and it i fall head over heels again!! :twirl:

Beautiful ring, congratulations!

I love your new stone and think it will look gorgeous in one of those settings. Your other ring is gorgeous too. Fun collection.

Actually my stone is cut by Lloyd from www.clearcutgems.com.. You can contact him to see if he has sth you like. No harm to ask more information. E-ring is very very importment I think.

Wow I love the cut! Congrats on a beautiful purchase!
