Looks like Gary has another bigger one with even more intense colour available, not sure if they’re of same material.

I reached out to Gary and he does indeed have the same hot pink material that I posted a screenshot of... however the shipping terms don't suit me (due to my location).

I was also tempted by that material, Gary even compare them with Mahenge or Jedi spinel. Just my budget is not currently on another lab stone~

That's what caught me too! I'd love a mahenge/Jedi spinel but they're all way above my budget. haha!

Last year, I purchased a 3.2 ct lab pad sapphire from Gene at Precision Gem. Finally had it set in a Stuller halo setting with diamonds. I'm thrilled with it!

Thank you! I’m still a bit of a novice so I’ve only ever done rings. I’m not sure if I want to halo it or not. I just fell in love with the material.

I scooped up a 7mm “hanami” cut in lab Alexandrite from one of Stag & Finch’s flash sales. It’s not a standard size, being 5 sided. I’ve got many rings, so I’m thinking maybe a pendant for this one? The colors are gorgeous, it photographs purple, but changes to bright teal in the light that my camera can’t capture.

Aside from a standard prong setting, I would love to hear any creative ideas about how to set this stone!

I bought a hot pink lab sapphire like that from Gary too. I'd just caution you not to halo it or otherwise set it in a way that blocks out too much light. Mine is haloed and it lights up to be that color shown in your pics under certain conditions. But it looks a lot darker than that in most lighting conditions. I still like it but if I had it to do over again, I'd pick a different setting.

This is a really helpful info, I am just not sure if it’s the light from the side, possibly hitting the stone at the pavilion somehow elevate the vividness and brighten it up. I have had this question for a certain period of time.

My new 14ct lab oval Padparadscha. The orangey tones are more evident irl, they don't show much in photos/videos. But the pink is absolutely gorgeous, on and off camera.
