I am so excited as I have nothing in my collection even remotely like that color! I asked if a step cut would be good for the color or if I should stick with round and he felt that round brilliant would show off the flashes best. I will set it into a ring but I have a few other gems to get set first! Of course I will post pics once I get the sapphire! I just paid for it yesterday so hopefully it will get mailed soon but due to the holiday not sure if I'll receive it this week or early next. ugh the wait!

I will also be asking for a lab emerald next! and that will definitely be an emerald cut!

My lab sapphire from Precision Gems arrived today! It is amazing! I took a few pictures of it & the other lab sapphire I have from Gene. Then realized I didn’t take a picture of it by itself! Doh! Also, it is night time so these are from the various crummy lights throughout my apartment. The new one is the bright pink one. I’m very happy with it!

Yes they are both lab sapphires. Here is Gene’s original picture of the purple one. I purchased it a few months ago. It is beautiful and kind of color shifty.

I asked them about pricing, looks like ~110-120 per carat. That seems a little high to me considering that these aren't precision cut. Gene charges between 80-130 per carat (depending on material), and you get a perfectly precision cut stone. But I love the color of these!!!!

I saw this too and it's the same material as the one I purchased and has better price/carat!! Regretting my too rash purchase decision but I do like the cushion better and I'm just hugging my head..
