It's interesting how gemstones can shift colors in different lights. Spinels are famous for this. I took a pic of this pink spinel at my computer desk the other day. You can see how the color shifts where the LED ceiling light hits the stone. I thought it was a fun pic so thought I would share.

first of all, what a beautiful stone! Is that a Homer concave cut? I love it--so unique!

Definitely a very cool picture, I feel like it's unusual to be able to capture "color change" in one pic--nice job! I love stones with a variety of "personalities" :)

I've discovered the same thing about my chryso.
 
Thank you lovedogs, arabella,LJsapphire,theredspinel,Chrono and Gloria. Lovedogs the gem is not from Richard Homer though I have admired gems that members have posted from him. I think your Chryso is pretty neat Gloria. :)
