Hey girl! I have some questions about your James Meyer. How wide is the band? How high above your finger does the stone sit? I''m trying to get a visual of how that style would work with my 1 carat oec. Thnx so much!!

I posted measurements of my ring in this thread. Measurements are on page 3.

My stone does not sit high at all--approx 6mm off the finger, and it's a 1.85 and a little over 8mm. I imagine a 1ct would sit lower depending on the total depth of the stone.

I swear I looked and looked, but I can''t find a measurement of the width of the band before it splits. If it''s there, I''ll just have to blame the fibrofog!

Yanno, I swear I posted it--must be in another thread. I forgot haha--so I just measured it. It is approximately 1.4mm before it splits. It's built up, though, so it's very sturdy. I did not expect it to be this thin--I actually wanted something wider, and I thought it would be. It's very delicate. I love it--proportions are great. Someday, I'd like a JM or CM that has a wider shank. I'm really into wide bands right now.

Thanks! I have fat fingers (and I''m old), so I often worry about rings being "too delicate." My BevK is okay because of the size of the halo and the accompanying wband. Do you have opinion on my 7.5 fingers carrying off something this narrow?

You can pull off a narrow band--esp from what I''ve seen of your pics--your ering is narrow, and looks great! It all depends on what you want. I just bought a 5mm plat filigree diamond band--never wore this width before and I love it! My favorite setting for your stone is the CM that looks similar to the Sholdt. I want that ring someday...
