I've been shopping hard for an Emerald Cut diamond, and I've noticed that MANY appear to have windows or shadows in the triangles in the top and bottom of the stone. But then I've seen some stones where I don't notice this hardly at all. Is this a normal feature of the Emerald Cut or a sign of a poorly cut stone and one I should rule out? I'm extremely particular, and I'm looking at a stone that has great features but I see these shadows. I'm trying to trust my eyes, but I'm starting to wonder if they are playing tricks on me!

I've also come across some nice stones but the corners appear to be more cut than normal. Any feedback on this aspect?

I've had a crash course on Emerald Cut diamonds, and I want to make sure I'm headed in the right direction. Thanks!
