Hello,

I'm curious with these dimensions what stone you would all pick, company I would get from can send me pictures, but the pictures i've seen on other rock's aren't great so I may be making my decision solely on specs. Difference in cost here isn't a big deal just trying to stay under 20k.

Thanks so much for any input!

If pics are available, get the pictures and post.

I can request images, but the images the company will send are not good enough to make any kind of decision off. Based on dimensions, which of the above should perform the best?

To begin with use the HCA tool.
Can someone at the company tell you which one performs best? and in various lighting situations?
Numbers and specs don't tell the whole story - and with your budget it would be a shame not to get the best one.

Using the HCA tool diamond#1 scored 1.9, and diamond#2 scored 2.7. Diamond #2 should be rejected, unless a great price.
Previous posters are correct, your need Idealscope and ASET images, especially with the dollars you are planning to spend.
I think you can do better.

You will find, I think, that shopping for a diamond by using specs only, without the benefit of pictures (particularly ASET images) will not get you as much feedback here as will be possible with accompanying pics. You may get some general comments (e.g. diamond 1 MAY have more fire than diamond 2 due to the different proportions where diamond 2 MAY be brighter) but all followed up with caveats such as, "it will depend on details not shown" and further "it depends on what you like."

For more comprehensive and meaningful advice I recommend finding quality ASET photos of the diamonds you are considering and posting them here - the good people on PS will happily help!

Hawk squawks some good points! They all have potential, Thunder, but we really need images to check to see how well the proportion configurations all work together, there are potential issues with some of the proportions we need to check, from a quick glance Number 1 is a bit deeper than I prefer, the crown/pavilion angle combo needs checking with image to see if there is any light leakage. Number 2 might show a increased level of fire or coloured light, Number 3 might be worth further consideration, so I would say the next step is to obtain images.

This one is definitely image worthy but before you get an Idealscope image for this diamond, check with James Allen it is eye clean to your standards as you get 3 Idealscope images from this vendor, after that a fee is payable I believe. You don't want to waste an image if the stone isn't eye clean to your requirements. Ask the vendor to inspect the diamond for you and make your expectations clear. For example, if you don't want to see any visible inclusions from any angle, distance or lighting, make sure there are aware of that so they can advise. In this size range, some SI1 might suit and others might not, so be as specific as you can.

Very nice choice by the way, it could be a smashing stone if eye clean and the image checks out.
