Champaigne Setting from WF - Polished finish?

I want to think someone on here wanted/had the same thing done, but I couldn''t find it in searching. I think it would be gorgeous!

I''ve always really loved that setting as well. I think it would look good in a polished version in the yellow-gold setting, as the "champagne" bubbles would stand out. Not sure if it would have the same effect with the white-gold though.
 
I bet they would be able to do that. Definitely ask - it''s such a beautiful setting!
 
For all that are curious, Whiteflash sent me a picture of a POLISHED champaigne setting... I would still like to see ACTUAL photos of this ring in a different light and/or on a finger.

Okay, while I was typing this I tried to attach the picture but it was too big. I am going to wait until after work and try to get this thing resized and posted!

Ummm... I''m not digging it *in my head* -- seems like the little stones wouldn''t pop as much in s polished version ... though that Etienne guy does polished "scatter" type bands ... and the Etoile band is polished ...

I just don''t know. Interested in seeing the pix ... you say YELLOW gold??

If I didnt want a halo, the champaigne setting would''ve been my choice. It looks gorgeous in polished metal. i''m sure your gf will love it.
 
I know what deco is saying, but I think it''s just as pretty polished, just a bit different.

I think she''d love it!
 
There''s one problem though... I''m purchasing a Princess Cut stone to go with it... soooo...

What do you all think about a 1 carat Princess in the setting?

I like both versions very much. But I think I like the polished one just a bit more!

I''m having a hard time imagining the setting with a princess. Definitely time to bring in the Photoshop experts for some assistance!
 
Search "ivy" She has it set with a rectangular radiant- and it looks stunningly beautiful. I''m sure a princess cut would look spectacular.

So what kind of prongs would you use for a Princess? Also, would you consider any changes changes to the side stones? hmmm....wonder what it would look like if all those little champaigne ''bubbles'' were princess cut instead...

I wanna know what kinda champagne you''re drinking that has SQUARE BUBBLES! I''d guess *whatever* it is -- you''ve had TOO MUCH!

Personally - I don''t think square stones are going to create a good effect scattered around the setting ... it''ll start looking like pixels ... science-ish?

I mean no disrespect but you are thinking like a *guy*!

I also don''t really dig that setting *as is* for a princess cut stone (ducks ... dives for cover) Never been one of my favorite settings though .. polished or matte.
 
I was questioning the appropriateness of a princess cut stone in this setting as well.

However, the grand prize for that Fox Wedding Bells promotion that Whiteflash was involved with was a 3 carat princess stone in this setting! Here ya go!

It looks a little out of place to me also. BUT...

first, that diamond is HUGE.
second, the diamond looks cloudy and dull in this photo

neither of these things help.

To me, the setting calls for something softer, rounder, more feminine.....

A princess commands a certain look, and looks best in a setting that enhances/blends/works well with it.

IMHO, this just isn''t it.
