Celebrity Sighting

I was in line for security at La Guardia last night and Tim Gunn was in front of me, one person between me and him. The woman in front of him was peppering him with questions regarding past season contestants. He was very gracious, but those questions must get old. I decided to leave him alone, but I emailed a friend and told her I was close enough to lick him! He looked really nice- I checked his entire outfit out. I was trying to see what "liquids" he was bringing, but couldn''t quite see that well. I really wanted to know what he uses. No reason, I''m just nosey.

The day after we got back from our honeymoon we went to our favorite Chinese restaurant. The place was nearly empty, but WILLIAM SHATNER was sitting in the back!

We so desperately wanted to approach him (and get a picture

) but one of the waiters warned us that might not be a good idea. Apparently Shatner had already made it very clear he didn't want any 'I'm such a fan' comments. Oh well.

Also on our flight home from our honeymoon apparently Queensryche was on our plane. DH was excited... I didn't know who they were

Honestly, it was all I could do to control myself because I really didn''t want to be the lady in front of him. I was BB messengering everyone I could think of. I sent my DH a message and he didn''t even respond!!

After we got thru security, I had other men stopping to ask me who it was so they could tell their wives, which I found hilarious.

I really wanted to know where he was going. He went down the same concourse as me, but was NOT on my flight. Boo.

I sat next to Diane Sawyer on a plane from Cleveland to Laguardia not too long ago. I was actually supposed to sit directly next to her, but her assistant asked if I would switch seats with her, so I ended up sitting across the aisle. Ms Sawyer slept the whole flight

It was still pretty cool!

My parents went to a restaurant and they were seated right next to Reese Witherspoon with Ryan Phillippe and their two adorable children (it was back when Reese and Ryan were together). I ran out of the house the second they told me hoping to catch a glimpse of Reese ("Legally Blonde" is one of my favourite movies, I know it by heart

) but they were gone by the time I got there...

LOL... yeah, he was a total jerk to one of the waiters (who is a total sweetheart), hence the warning.

We saw Ben Affleck at an airport one time.

In general, while I think it''s exciting, I''m the kind of person that likes to have my private time private, so as badly as I''d want to, I don''t think I''d ever approach a celebrity unless it was when they were obviously working - movie premieres (I hate trying to spell that word!) and stuff like that. But daaaaang I''d want to talk to Tim Gunn (only if I looked totally fab, though).

Oh yeah, I also passed Molly Shannon, her husband, and kid on a sidewalk in Chelsea. She looked either very busy or not very happy, so I didn''t stop to ask for an autograph

Her husband was hot though! He looked at least a few years younger than her. She had a cute kid too.

I was lucky enough to get my picture with Lisa Left Eye Lopez when I was younger. I was sitting just below her at a concert. The opening group was a band she was backing, so she went to watch. She was very gracious, and down to earth. I''m glad I got to meet her before her untimely death.

Once I waited on Steven Tyler from Aerosmith. He was nice, his wife wasn''t. He ordered a prime rib, and I didn''t know the kitchen was out that night, so I had to go back and tell him we didn''t have it. He was really cool. He''s really short and thin too.

Working in downtown Boston I''ve seen him several times while he''s been filming movies. He''s very tall IRL, isn''t he? And he looks exactly the same as he does when you see pictures of him.

Tim Gunn co-hosts Project Runway with Heidi Klum. He just seems so extremely nice and is always extremely well dressed. I''d love to meet him!

He''s very odd looking hehe. I did a lot of theater with his daughter Chelsea. I live in Boston too, and have run into a lot of local celebs. Mostly Aerosmith, but also Steve Carell, Chris Cooper, Ben Affleck (during the J-Lo years), Matt Damon, have held conversations with both Donnie and Mark Wahlberg, and I met Mel Brooks once right after Anne Bancroft died. I saw Sarah Jessica Parker once in NYC, she looked terrified of having her picture taken.

i fly between NY and LA every few weeks. first class on these flights will almost always get you some hollywood or sports type.

one flight i was on had alec baldwin (30 rock), elijah wood (frodo from lord of the rings) and gary shandling (from all kinds of stuff). i saw them first at the airport lounge where i virtually walked into alec baldwin. there was a group of them all flying together, and i saw elijah wood, and i was kind of trying to avoid him - give him plenty of room etc. but their entourage was blocking the walkway to the bathroom, so as i tried to sidestep him, i came up literally face to face with a big guy...who was alec baldwin.

last month i flew out and 3 rows ahead of me was phylicia rashad who was flying out to LA with her 2 grandchildren. her voice is absolutely unmistakable.

BF''s family lives in a town where a few celebrities have decided to call home, and BF''s dad has had several good conversations with Dave Matthews. Sadly, I''ve yet to meet him.

I took a picture with Bobby Flay in Vegas once. I had eaten at his restaurant earlier and saw him there too, and then later, at a club, he was there. I told him I loved him and that his food was amazing!! He was nice.

I also took a picture with Steven from the Real World Las Vegas. He was in Austin one time. He put his arm around me and kissed me near my brow though and I felt gross! LOL.

I met Venus Williams at a mall signing one time and told her that my dog is named after Roger Federer. She got a kick out of that.

I saw Christy Carlson Romano at a mall signing last year. She was on Even Stevens with Shia Labouf. If it wasn''t for the fact that she was there for Kim Possible, and that I was 25 and liked her on a kiddie Disney show...I would have totally gone for an autograph.

Let''s see...who else...I guess Lance Armstrong on my campus for a pep rally doesn''t count, since he was supposed to be there.

Oh...MC Hammer at my friend''s graduation last semester!! That was random, and I wouldn''t have known it was him, despite him wearing a silly winter hat inside.

Princess, he looks HORRIBLE!!! His skin is all loose and crepey and it sort of just hangs there while being stretched over his bones. And he''s super super skinny too.

I''ve also seen Liv walking around the town where his summer house is and I''ve met his parents and Joe Perry''s too.

Six of us gals went to NYC for a week and on our big dinner night out I came out of the bathroom and Bebe Neuwirth was on the other side of the single occupancy door waiting to go in. We both had a good laugh because we were both wearing hot pink pants, and multicolor/multidesigned shirt with our hair in pigtail braids. It was awesome!

Ethan Hawk''s mom goes to my church, so he will come about twice a year. I''ve only met him once. He''s shorter than I imagined!

After HS graduation a group of us went on a trip to Longbeach, CA. We stayed on the Queen Mary where Danielle Fishel (Topanga from Boy Meets World) was filming a movie. She smoked like a chimney and was REALLY rude!

I waited on Barry Switzer once. He was extremely nice but drank a lot of alcohol. He left me a nice, fat tip!

Hahaha it''s not as sketchy as I made it sound...she''s an event planner so she often stays at very swanky hotels during different conferences that she has planned. She and a coworker went to the hot tub late at night after the last night of the conference, and the Hoff was in there with a few lady friends. She said he was actually pretty nice, they talked about Baltimore (where he was born and she currently lives) but that it was one of the overall weirdest experiences of her life.

A friend of mine used to live next door to Johnny Lang's grandma and it always bugged the crap out of me that he wouldn't admit that he was from fargo, he's also very mean which is ironic because he's not that famous anymore.

A stanley cup winner went to my high school, matt cullen.

Caridee from next top model also went to a high school in the town across the river from us (basically same town, just with a state border down the middle lol)

My friend works on Mike Shanihan's house for her company and talks to him regularly on the phone which is pretty cool.

My sister opened a concert for the guy who wrote some of the lyrics for the monkie's.

Once I was in the front row at a backstreet boys concert and my best friend and I are POSITIVE nick winked at us lol

Oh I was at Warped Tour one year before I knew what reel big fish looked like. The trumpet player was warming up backstage and my friend and I were like "you're not supposed to be behind that rope dude!" He totally played along and made us think he was trying to sneak backstage. Lol I've seen them a couple times now and we've grilled out with them before concerts. Also same friend was on her phone while we were talking to them and her mom invited them over for breakfast the next day! and they went! very cool

While working at the nightclub I've also met a couple people from the real world, shooter jennings *swoon*, mxpx, relient k, ron jeremy, keith urban, and a couple of others i cant remember right now. That was a pretty fun job which made up for being severely underpaid lol

Oh and a guy from my high school will be competing in the winter figure skating olympics- mark ladwig

also used to date a guy whose brother in law was tucker hibbert if anyone watches x games, we got a lot of free monster energy drink merchandise lol
