Hi all!
I am really new to this, though confess to lurking for a while. I have found a RB diamond which has VS2 clarity, but on the plot of the certificate, I noticed it has a cavity. Given that the clarity is still pretty good, I wondered if it is possible for anyone to give their opinions as to what this means. Google suggests it is from cutting, but I thought that cavities occur during formation. The cavity is near the centre of the diamond on the plot, but I can't tell if this is on the surface or deeper as there is no indication from the cert.
As an aside, the diamond has some strong fluorescence, just in case the two interact in any way.
Would appreciate any help or pointers.
Thank you!
