Just wondering if any PSers have done it and if they care to share their experience? I'm more interested as to the process and whether you had to pay to ship the diamond back to the U.S. and whether you had issues with customs. I'm pretty sure the duty would be on the full amount of the new diamond and not the difference between the price you paid...
The JA website is pretty sparse on details on how to upgrade...

Thanks!

I just went through this process with Whiteflash. I did have to pay the return shipping cost. Whiteflash arranged the insurance from their end after I sent them the shipping number (Fedex) as I was running into issues with insurance. It cost me about $80.00 CDN to ship to U.S. The package was labeled warranty/repair. When the upgrade was shipped to me the invoice showed the original value (HST already paid) and the new value. I only paid tax (HST) on the difference as it was warranty/repair. The package did get held up briefly at customs in my city. I had to send Fedex an e-mail authorizing them to act as an agent on my behalf to clear the package and had to pay the tax owing (gave credit card info) before Fedex would deliver. Apparently Fedex doesn't allow payment on delivery anymore, or so I was told. Hope this helps!
