Can you buy a Fancy online?

Hi everyone,

I'm interested in a 2ct Oval, Si1-Vs2, G-H.

I understand that for round stones, the GIA certificate is enough to rely on when ordering online.

For fancy stones, especially the oval cut, can one just rely on the GIA certificate (assuming it's accurate) or does one need to see the actual stone?
