Can someone help me find a setting with these specifications

If I did change the setting I want the following qualities - can anyone help me find it????? It's 2 years - need to find something or gonna have to buy a new stone and start over. I think I have finally - can put into words of what i DO want - that's an achievement in itself!


1. Not too big diamonds in setting - I like more smaller sparkly stones and to see more metal, than actual stone, i guess that's why i'm not into halos really

2. I like contemporary *shiny thick white metal and freeflow designs) and vintage style - like deco

3. i like details like mililgrain, etching

4. I want the profile to be swooping - the shank to swoop or curve (not too high) up to the top of the diamond

5. I don't want a thin band - 2mm is too thin.

6. I prefer matching wedding sets

7. I don't want straight lines across the finger, i have that now , it's thin and boring to me

8. i don't like round stones, my stone has chunky facets on the edges so it looks cushiony from many angles, not sure if there is a setting out there that will divert the attention from the face up round shape....?

MaeVona Eriskay is one that I've considering for a remount of my big diamond. A mix of contemporary and Art Nouveau, is how I'd describe it. kjons dot com has a movie of it.

Swoopy and milgrain don't really go together, to me, because milgrain is a sharply square edge.

A fishtail head, with it's big triple-prong corners, squares a round diamond. And it's a vintage look. Look up Cross Jewelers, Victory ring. Or Aspen ring. You can put various styles of shanks (with or without side stones and milgrain) with a fishtail head.

"don't like straight lines across the finger" sounds like a bypass setting of some type.

What about a cushion shaped bezel or engraved "halo" for the head:

Or, as mentioned above, fishtail prongs help to give a round stone a cushion shape (and I think sometimes double claw prongs can give the same effect):

P.S.

Also, I really like modern type profiles when there is a space and the shank is separate from the middle, it's like a space between the arc/lines of the shanks going to the top.........do i make sense?
