Can I get your opinion on this diamond???

I have looked at diamonds for awhile and I think this one (http://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/cushion-cut/1.91-carat-e-color-vs1-clarity-sku-272522) is a diamond I'm strongly considering to buy.

Please let me know your opinion on it. I guess I'm just worried about the cut since I've recently learned about the different types of cushion cuts (antique and the different modern cuts) and I'm wondering how much "fire" it'll have. Thanks a lot!

I've been looking at diamonds that are at least an F, VS2, and 2 carats (1.9 works too). The one from JA has all that and is within my budget. I think its better than similar ones I've found on the JA site, just going off an eye ball test, this one isn't cloudy and has a crisp look to it. I've mostly looked on BN, JA, and local jewelers so if you know of any other good sites that would help too. I like the one you showed me but it's not quite what I'm looking for. I appreciate it though! I've looked at some GOG vids for research too and they were really helpful. Does this one looked like it's too much of a crushed ice/watery look?

I like the GOG videos, too.

If you look at the dimensions, both of the ones I posted above are the same size as the 1.9 you posted. F vs G is sooo slight, the B2C one has better cut but still modern style as the one you posted.

When I look at D/E color, I notice the colorlessness makes it seem more crisp/less watery, but the one you posted is more on the leaky side. It isn't a train wreck but you can do better.

The JA one you posted is awesome! I love the look on that one. My gf has her heart set on the diamond being at least a 1.9 though and the one I was looking at is 17,000 which is about the max I could probably spend. I've tried doing my due diligence on researching what to look for and where to look but obviously I've got more work to do. If you find some more diamonds or have any advice please let me know! You've been really helpful

I see. I'll look around for something that fits your specs better. But I think your budget is a little bit low for what you are looking for.

Usually a woman wants to hit a certain size, and the man wants a certain color/clarity even though she doesn't care. Is that the case here?

I think you need to adjust your specs to F-G color and eyeclean SI1-VS2 clarity. That is not going give you a big visual difference once set in terms of color as long as the cut gives you great light return. It is GREAT quality. But it is balanced sensibly with value.
