I love my new ring from ERD but I have one regret, and that's telling them to do the swirly engraving only on the band surrounding the centre diamond and to do a different engraving style (that looks like little lines) on the rest of the shank. I was worried their engraving may not be great so thought the line style (which looks like half of a wheat pattern, for anyone familiar with wheat engraving) would be easier to do/harder to screw up. But I was wrong and the swirly engraving looks great - and I should have asked them to continue it on the rest of the shank. It bugs me as I don't feel like it matches - and the rest of the ring is so stunning that I feel like I messed up this one thing on the profile.
Anyone know if engraving can be redone by sanding down or buffing down the old engraving? Or should I just wait for it to wear out then get them to do the engraving then? I know on the Antique Jewelry forum, someone did apply new engraving to a worn out shank of an eternity band. But that one was worn out from age rather than sanded down.

Here's a close up for reference...am I just being too nitpicky? What do you think?
