Can diamonds be added?

I have my 1.84ct RB set into a temporary solitaire while trying to find the perfect setting. I''ve really come to like the look of a solitaire, but I feel like it needs "something". I was wondering if diamonds can be added to the band. I found a picture today that is exactly like my solitaire only with the diamonds in the band.

Hi Jayrenay,
It is probably possible to set very small diamonds on the shank of your engagement ring if the shank is at least 2mm wide. Without seeing your ring I can not say for sure, but it is worth asking a jeweler that does a lot of the micro-pave.

I *think* my ring is 3mm, but not 100% sure as I didn''t put much thought into it since it was supposed to be temporary.

Are the diamonds in the ring I posted micro pave? I''m still trying to learn the different types of accent diamond settings.
