Can anyone see any warning signs with this ring?

I'd hugely appreciate anyone's professional/experienced opinion on this ring. I've been saving for years to get my girlfriend the ring of her dreams so want to make sure it's just right.

My one concern was perhaps the girdle being a bit thick?

You can also try JA or WF or IDJ or GOG?

I'm assuming that you want to find a diamond between 1.4 -1.49? Did you want true hearts & arrows?

However, if you wanted to stay with BN using the same criteria as you pasted above ideal cut not SA range.

I thought this was nice, but you should ask for the actual picture of the stone..

Wow Katness thanks for throwing me in with all those experts on diamonds but I'm so far far far from that! I love settings so I hardly ever comment on actual diamonds.

I will say on this one though it didn't score very well at all on the HCA if I put in all the info correctly. I want to say it was around a 5 if I remember (ok so i had a few glasses of wine right before!). I personally would pass and look for something else. It has great spread but that is the only thing it really has going for it.

Looking at the report, the girdle is listed as medium rather than thick. I think the areas of more concern are the 35.5 crown angle paired with a 41 pavilion. You want to keep the crown angle between 34-35 and the more preferred pavilion angles are 40.6-41 and depth below 62.3. The 41 can work, but I think generally seems to be better paired with a slightly shallower crown.

I agree with bastetcat. If I were looking for a beautiful stone with your budget, this is the one that I would buy!! I believe that the owner might discuss price, but of course you would have to contact her.
