Hi everyone -

I''ve been looking for some photos of size 6 five stone bands that are between 1.6 and 2.5 tcw. I''ve found pictures posted of bands in those carat weights, but not in a size 6. I can''t find a jeweler around here to go and try some on, so I''m trying to get an idea of proportional sizing. Help!

Thank you!

Hi Bem,
I have the same as Kcoursolles- total weight 2.59. The ring is very substantial on my size 7 finger. Had it made in a 7 1/2 because i wear it with my wide wedidng band.
I''m wondering if you''re going to wear it with your e-ring? My e-ring is a little smaller than yours at 2.52 cts and they don''t work together at all.

Since I''m not a size 6 I won''t post a pic :D but let me know if you''d like me too.

HI:

Try Fleetwood Jewellery. Heritage Drive. Or call first to inquire about selection--talk to Ivana.

cheers--Sharon

Hi elle -

Thanks for your feedback - I did look up the post on your ring and it''s lovely! No, I don''t intend to wear the 5 stone band with my e-ring, which is why I''m looking for something a little more ''substantial'' than a regular wedding band.

Hey Sharon! I was actually going to page you to ask for ''that jewelry store that you recommended'' again. I knew that it started with an ''F''! I will definitely call to see what they had in stock. I called Birks downtown yesterday, and they didn''t have anything in the size range that I am looking at. I called Brinkhaus as well and they wouldn''t give me info on the particularities of their stock over the phone, but wanted me to ''come in so that we can order one for you'' - yeah, right!

I will call Ivana and see what they have in stock right now. Thanks!

HI:

Was at Brinkhaus last week and didn''t see anything in particular as you describe--but several tasty eternity rings.

My new five stone is 1.51 cts. I didn''t want it to cover more than the top of my finger. I don''t like to feel the pinch of either diamonds or prongs. I had it made a 6 1/4 as a safeguard against summer swelling. It''s fitting me better now than in the cool weather (when it''s loose).

That''s a great size, gemgirl - thanks for posting! I also don''t want the ring to look too ''wide'' - I''m wondering if 2 tcw would look too wide on my size 6 finger...

Hiya

I don''t know if its RBs you are looking for, but here''s my 1.75tcw EC 5-stone. My finger size is 5.75 so it gives you a rough idea of size in this cut.

This might help.....this is a picture of a ring I tried on last winter in the jewelry district in Boston.

2 ctw 5-stone band (40-pointers each) on 6.5 finger....

This is the side view of the same ring.

This is just my feeling for myself as the wearer - I wanted .40 pointers also in the beginning, but the ring was so wide that it pushed my fingers apart and I didn''t like how that looked on me. But that''s just me. You really have to try rings on in stores to get a good idea of what feels comfortable to you. Then go from there.

Also, for as much as I think I have a big finger because of all the 3.5s and 4.5s we have among us, a size 6 really isn''t all that big in the real world. It doesn''t give us all that much to work with (finger to finger wise).

I love gemgirl''s ring! The 30 pointers look just the right size to me!!!!
