Hi,
I am looking at few of the stones, two from EGL and two are from GIA. I just want to know your unbiased opinion about both.I understand GIA is stricter, but my concern is value for the money. Are they worth the price.I am so confused with EGL, EGL International(these are international), and GIA. Any opinion is highly appreciated.

EGL

GIA

Thanks for your help and time!

I only looked at the 2 listed under GIA and I would say no to both.
1. The 2.01 ct, J, SI2 is a poorly cut stone. It is very deep and the angles are not good. The cut grade on the actual cert says 'Poor'. Please stay away.
2. The 2 ct, G, I1 rates well at 1.6 on HCA, but the I1 is a deterrent to me. If you read the GIA cert comment: clarity grade is based on clouds that are not shown. I believe the diamond would quite hazy which would make the diamond less 'sparkly' to the eye.

If you give the pricescope audience your qualifications (budget, carat wieght, lowest clarity), people may be able to find you better options.

Oh my goodness the GIA stones are horrible!!! I'm not trying to come across as mean, but I wouldn't spend a penny on either of those, especially the first GIA stone. I never knew what a "poor" cut's proportions were, but those are terrible and I can assure you it will look terrible as well. The "poor" cut GIA has the dimensions of a 1.5 carat diamond because it's cut so poorly (not to mention the CA and PA which will not give you the sparkly look you're likely after).

The two EGL stones are impossible to say whether they could be good as the report does NOT list the proportions which is a big disappointment. That information is really crucial.

Please give us your diamond requirements and budget and we can help you find something waaaay better.

I have seen several OP's whose significant other's want large diamonds but their budget does not align with those wishes. I suppose you can always find a poorly cut stone with low clarity that will meet that 2 carat mark, but it will likely be a big disappointment. I cannot stress enough how important the cut is to give off that brilliant, sparkly, fiery look that is coveted. I've never heard someone say "I want a huge rock. And I want it to look dull, lifeless and cloudy."

Here are some parameters that will help you vet stones.

Table: 55-58%
Depth: 60-62.3%
Crown angle: 34-35 degrees
Pavilion angle: 40.6-41 degrees
