The experts will be by shortly. But from what I understand the crown and pavilion angles do not complement each other that well. You probably could come down in clarity as well but find a better cut diamond.

Thanks for the quick response! I'm not too familiar with those terms, any suggestion as what numbers I should be looking for in terms of the crown and pavilion angle? Recommendations on the lowest you should go in terms of clarity? It says it is an excellent cut, so I assumed that was already a good quality. I'm new to this, as you can tell.

Here is a link to an older thread asking the same question. Scroll down to the 4th post by Loreli. It is a kind of cheat sheet on paramaters. But remember your eyes are your best judgment.

As far as clarity. Some will say VVS1 is overkill. You could easily go down to VS1 or even VS2. Some say SI1. Again, you need to determine how eye clean you want your diamond to be.
