My mom thinks this ring is just beautiful... I was going to see if I could find it somewhere, where the quality of the diamonds will be good

What size diamonds do you think are in that setting (the one in the picture I posted)?

I would guess that they''re on the smaller side, maybe a half carat center? If you assume the band is about 3mm I think that''s a decent guess. The page where you found the ring doesn''t say?

No I just have the pictures, no description.... Don''t know where she found it.

Found it!
The center is 45points, the sides are 22.5 points each, the melee are 2.5 pointers.

Oh poo Mercoledi...you beat me!

Not by much! Good work!

Sparkles, it this for the gift you want to get her, or something else?

Thanks for finding the site DKS and Mercoledi! It was actually less than I thought it would be! Have either of you heard of this site? Is their quality any good? The cut of the stones can make all the difference. I would love to get it for her, but I want the diamonds to be really sparkly, especially since she thinks I know so much about them. They do offer a G-H VS1-VS2, but don't mention anything about the cut of the stones.

I don't know what I am going to do for the gift thing. Ideally this ring would be perfect, but if I went with the ring I would want to make sure it was terrific quality/workmanship/cut, so I think with all those things, it will probably wind up being more $$ than that site lists (unless someone can tell me about their quality, etc). This is like the fakey ring she wears everyday and really likes.

The pendants I've been listing in my other post I've been able to see in person and that helps a lot.

Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!

I''ve never hear of them and would be a little dubious. I did find some similar settings on Overstock and other places; if the small stones looked OK you could always replace the center with something nicer. Is there a price you''re trying to stay under?

I was going to stay under $500 if I did the pendant. If I did this ring I think I would aim for under $2500

ETA: She keeps looking on e-bay etc, but the quality I've seen is really poor. She e-mails me and will ask "What about this one?" so I know she may be contemplating getting it for herself... I would want to make sure she got something really nice as far as quality. She just doesn't really know what to look for. So the ring would be the absolute perfect gift, if I could find one I could afford. Or even if I could find a nice one to save up to buy her (and just get the pendant for now)

I thought Knox had some really pretty ones (Princess Beauty and Princess Perfect), but she doesn''t like the channel set diamonds on the sides...

I think you could definitely do the ring with really nice center diamonds and come in under budget! Here''s a .533 ACA Princess from WF for only $850.

I bet WF could make that same setting with the side stones in WG for $1650. If not, Knox usually has very inexpensive settings, so they could probably do it.

You are such a sweet daughter...I know she''ll be happy with whatever you get her!
