LOL Sharon...I almost edited that Snowbird comment out yesterday after I thought more about it. Doesn''t it usually refer to ''older folks'' who maintain second homes in warmer climes? I assumed you weren''t that!

Gosh, no worries Widget--I knew what you meant! And yes, snowbirds does "generally" refer to folks of retirement age (like Anne Murray is now I guess....LOL).....altho there are days I sure "feel" older.....

Widget I love your collection, especially that bracelet on the left, is it deco?

And deco dear, if you like that cut, I saw two pairs of TO.DIE.FOR earrings at Single Stone in LA a couple weeks back. They are cushion studs with a larger cushion dangling from just a couple of links. IIRC, both stones are bezel set, similar to widgets in that the edge is sort of milgrained. I think one pair was larger than the other. The larger pair was about the 23k range IIRC. And I almost considered re-setting my grandmother''s smaller stone and getting those earrings as e-earrings! If you are in the LA area, I urge you to go to Single Stone and check them out. I think they are a style they can make up for anyone...If you email Ari at SS he might be able to email you a photo of them...

I hardly come to this forum and I just did and stumbled upon this thread. I love antique pieces Widget and your pieces are so wonderful! I am like you, I have a boy and another boy on the way. When I realised it is another boy, I asked my hubby "who am I going to give me all my jewelry to!!???". To my future DILs? That depends on whether I like them or not. So I told my hubby I hope my boys have a little girl or two so that my granddaughters can have all my sparklies..
