Why am I not surprised that John''s ring is flat out amazing and jaw dropping.

It''s amazing John. I love the initials. What a thoughtful and wonderful surprise.

Thanks for asking Gemnick.

I had occasion to find these photos earlier. Apart from class and championship rings I''ve always been attracted to plainer bands for gents. This one was designed from a verbal description (and lots of hand-waving and frowning as I spoke I am sure). I asked for plain lines and a classic look, with the ability to protect/set a 6mm RB for daily wear; a somewhat larger spread than the diamonds in many mens'' rings I see.

My ''guymond'' is round of course, but I imagine the octagonal stage could be made square to compliment that shape.

John,

What can I say - this is a classic. Thanks a lot for sharing your advice and perspective. I hope my finished ring turns out like this.

I''m the wrong person to ask lol
I think most guy rings are either huge chunks of metal or chickish.
I went with a little chickish on mine and if anyone comments to that effect they can have an imprint of my diamond on their jaw.

Great ring, Karl. Wouldn''t call it "chickish" ...

I like this one a lot. Keep in mind though that this is a .5 stone.

Thanks, Danny - interesting pieces! I agree with you about #1 - not my first choice, but its always good to look at the possibilities. #2 is great for a wedding band w a small stone. #3 - a beaut that might have been the beta test for the ring John P. posted earlier. Appreciate you putting these up on the board. -Gemnick

John - and everyone else,

I just opened a discussion on a tsavorite ring I purchased last year. Would appreciate your thoughts/opinion:
