John! Would you have side stones like that too??

No, maybe a baguette channel band or baguette/princess combo?? I want the center to be the "star". I have a size 5 finger so with all that going on, the ring would be wearing me, lol

So I can't find the original ring. It's by Locke's who is now out of business. But the halo on the right side is close. I think it would look nice with tapered baguettes on the shank instead of that pave.

You can see if the link below works for you.

Here's the problem with a baguette halo: even with the rounds in the corners, 4 of the diamond will have to be custom cut. And that's expensive.

I would estimate about 4500 for the setting. And I'm not sure that will get you platinum.

And it is not a design I would trust many of the jewelers I know of to attempt. I can tell you right off that despite the fact that I might recommend them for other projects I would not recommend these jewelers for this project: JA, GOG, DBL.... to name a few.

IDJ does have one AMAZING bench. You COULD try them. But I would tell Yekutiel that it needs to be perfect.
BGD or WF have the CAD skills.
And ERD could do it, as long as they didn't flub communications (which they were doing it for a while).

But honestly despite not being a CAD designer, I think Steven Kirsch would be one of the choices I would get a quote from.

The problem with that is... you center stone is not going to be very big. I would try to keep the center under 5500. And that's not going to buy you a anything over a carat unless you sacrifice a lot on color and clarity .

And It might be a good idea to work on a plan B

I ADORE that Canturi design. I don't think your budget is going to get you a large enough center to make that setting look proportionally like the picture though.

If you aren't into step cuts, I would suggest a square radiant because of the cut corners, which will look best when you halo it.

I think you should focus on finding an overall look that works for you, decide on that first and then work toward it.

Totally agree with Gypsy that that design is not going to work with cut corners unless you use a cut corner stone such as an asscher or radiant or princess of hearts.

Maybe the best solution is to find a radiant that has the same facet pattern as the princess cut. They have cut corners but look like a princess cut stone.

Here are some i found on JA:

I like this one you posted. Seems pretty close to a princess just the corners snipped ::)

+2 I would choose one as square as possible.

That being said, the best numbers are on this one posted by Gypsie...I would get the ASETs on the 3 you like the best:
