I have heard that Oval stones hide inclusions very well, therefore I might be able to go lower on the clarity scale. What''s your opinion on this....how low can I go?

(I am looking for an oval that spreads around 10ish-7ish-4ish) 1.75-2.3 Carats

Perhaps near the ends if they are cut well, but in the middle they would show worse, especially if the stone exhibits a strong bow tie.

Heaven help us if Wink needs my support, but I agree. The pointy ends of marquise, pear shapes, and ovals too - but if the oval is not very pointy. then there will not be much advantage.

LOL, I am not sure if I have been complimented, or darned with faint praise...
