Calling collectors! What have you learned over the years?

I "found her" in Brasil. I was a lowly Marine Security guard, lower than whale poop on the ocean's floor in the social scale of any embassy. When we announced our engagement one of her co workers took her aside and told her not to throw her life away. "Sleep with him if you must, but for heaven's sake, DON'T marry him."

This from a lady married already four or five times.

Resa and I are looking forward to our forty-fourth anniversary in August. She is the crown jewel of my collection, the one with which I will never part. I gave her my heart soon after our first date and she has given me hers through thick and thin. I am honored to have spent so many years with this wonderful lady.

I was a gemstone collector long before I ever found PS and still am. Not for jewellery just for the sake of liking pretty or rare stones.

As for diamonds I think buying either 1 larger diamond or items of quality will always get worn more than several smaller things of lesser quality.
