Hi all,

I was just wondering if you can comment on the size and fit of your bands (as compared to your engagement rings). I've come across a few posts where people have said that their bands fit a bit snug.

I'm looking to get a 7 stone diamond band (10 pointers) from IDJ or Whiteflash very soon and am wondering if I should go up a tiny bit in size. I currently wear a very thin solitaire in a 4.5+ ring size (I'm assuming it's equivalent to a 4.6). I'm thinking of ordering the band in a 4.75 since it will be wider (and maybe feel more snug). I will be wearing it as a wedding band with my engagement ring.

Did anyone size up a little or notice a difference in the feel of the band (if you didn't size up)?

Any advice would be appreciated!!!

I have the whiteflash 7 stone diamond band with 10 point diamonds. First off, the diamonds are fireballs so you will not be disappointed! The band at the bottom is very thin so I would not size up. I went up a 1/4 size and it is spinning so now I need to have it sized down to the same size as my ering. I recommend sizing up if you choose a band with a thicker bottom though. The whiteflash band is 1.6mm on the bottom which makes it super comfy to wear. I am very pleased with it.

Vanderaf,

Thank you so much for the response! That is the band I'm considering from Whiteflash. Would you mind posting a pic or two of your band? I'm especially interested in the profile view on the finger. Do you find that the band is too much for your e-ring?

Depends on what you're comfortable with. I'm fine with my rings fitting snug. But,I have a five stone, size 4.5, and I really hate it when it spins. I hate seeing metal, so the more snug the less spinning. I have a half eternity, also 4.5, which spins and also bugs me to death. Gonna have that thing changed to a full when I can. I'm a 4.5 snug. A full eternity I would be willing to size a little larger.

Then you need to consider if you're going to stack more. I have 4.5 and 4.75 rings. The 4.5 I wear closer to the hand, since that is the skinnier part of my finger. The larger ones, I stack on top.

Thanks for your response LLJsmom! I hear what you're saying. I'm a 4.5, but I like my rings to be a little loose. When I told my jeweler I wanted my e-ring to be 4.75, he suggested I go with 4.5+ (and I'm really glad he did because it fits exactly how I want it to). I wouldn't mind if my ring spun a little, but I'm nervous about going a full 1/4 size up.

After yours and Vanderaf's posts, I think I'll stick with a 4.5, especially considering it's going under my e-ring (and I need a spacer).

Would anyone with a 7 stone shared prong band from Whiteflash (7 or 10 pointers) be willing to post some profile shots of your ring? On the finger or even in the palm of your hand would be great.

I love the profile of the shared prong bands from IDJ (they're set very low), but I'm having a hard time reaching them, so I'm thinking of going with WF. There are some great shots of IDJ bands, but not as many WF bands. My engagement ring is set quite low, so I'm looking for the lowest diamond band out there.

Thank you!

My seven stone Memoire I purchased from DS .75 tctwt.

It's sits nicely with my solitaire, not snug but close enough. I tend to flank it on both sides with my pave' bands. I tried on a bunch to get a feel for the best pairing

Oooh! I love it! Thanks Mayk!

I only size up a smidgen if the band is going to go higher up on my finger. I'm assuming this band will be on the bottom, i.e. the smallest part of your finger. I'd stick with 4.5 myself. I hate spinning if it's a 1/2 eternity.
