Can you take it outside in the sunlight and get some photos. If your camera wont focus that close, move back a little so you can get some
shots in focus.
Is the ring white or yellow gold? If white gold, wouldn't date to the 1800's because white gold was introduced in 1917 by Belais Brothers.
