Budget Question

i was looking at spending around 4k for an enagagement ring.....roughly 3k on the rock and roughly 1k on the setting.....what should i be expecting to get diamond wise for that number??? i have my heart set on an impeccably cut princess in the D-H vvs1-SI2 (eyeclean of course) range. maybe .77.90 carat weight.......is this within my budget or do i have to drum up some more cash????? also how often does whiteflash update their inventory??? the aca and es stones are really starting to dwindle. thank you!

I''d definitely try to go to the .80-.90 range if you can since princess stones tend to look a little smaller than a comparable weight round. This one that Ellen posted looks good:

But you may want to get a more precise idea of the cost of the setting so you can put as much as possible toward the stone.
