We recently placed an order for my e-ring (yay!!!) and I'm starting to go a little nuts here as I wait for it to get set and finished.
I chose this diamond that I fell in love with the second I saw it: http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/diamonds/diamond-details/0.635-j-vs2-round-diamond-ags-c-104065356049 and my fiance-to-be and I agreed that it would go in a very basic 6-prong solitaire setting, so that a couple of years down the road we could upgrade to a 3 stone trellis. However, the more I look at similar settings, the more anxious I get about how the prongs will look.
Does anyone happen to have any pictures of the stock Stuller settings that Brian Gavin carries? I realize they won't be the world's most refined option, but any kind of real-life picture would be incredibly helpful! Here's the setting I'm talking about: http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/engagement-rings/solitaire/six-prong-solitaire-14k-white-gold-5351w14

Thank you!! I had actually seen that thread, but didn't connect it to the setting! Surprisingly enough, the prongs don't look nearly as bad as I thought, ha. However, the shank width is now a new concern. :((

What about the shank width? I have that setting from BGD, but for a much larger stone, and it's a sapphire, so not very helpful.

Thanks for your reply!
I may be completely over-thinking this, but the shank seems to be a little overpowering for that size stone (5.5mm diamond and 2.9mm shank), I can't help thinking it would look a lot nicer if it were around 2mm in width. I wonder if the shank could be shaved down by 1mm and if that would be a complicated/expensive project...
