My son and I are debating the final scene. I think Walt died of his cancer and is dead when police arrive. He thinks Walt is still alive and they could bring him back later....thoughts?

He's dead, though not of his cancer. He was weakened because of it, but he died of the gun shot. Glad he did the "right" thing, and got Jesse out of there.

Yes, Walt dies after being shot. He obviously would have died sooner rather than later due to the cancer, but his immediate cause of death was from being shot.
