I really need to do some spell-check first before posting, ha ha.

I meant Tucson, AZ - though it was prob a Freudian slip, would lurve to go to Tuscan, Italy someday.

Oh, and we've been to Reims too and drove all the way from Brussels through to Reims and then from there to Paris. I've also been to another place outside of Paris but just cannot remember its name. My plan is to visit the South-West of France in the near future.

Eh, not that many. US, Canada, Mexico, and Jamaica. SO has traveled far more extensively and we would like to move to Europe in 6-7 years and raise our children there for a few. I look forward to traveling more in the future!

I've been to:

Mexico
Canada
Ireland, England, and Wales
Russia
Sweden
Czech Republic (Prague)
Bermuda (Does that count? It's not a US territory.)

My favorite is Ireland, and I'd love to go back someday. Of the places we visited during our trip, we loved the Galway area in particular. There's so much more we want to see!

Not too bad for living in one of the most isolated places but I would like to make it much longer.

Favourite place would be France, loved everything about it and can't wait to go back again, ESP if I win lotto I think I would move there.

Forgot the Vatican City! That counts right? ::)

Y'all are making me so jealous with all the amazing places you have been!

Here's my list:

US
Mexico
Dominican Republic
Italy
Vatican City
Jamaica

The most memorable trip was Italy, hands down, the rest were just standard beach resort vacations. DH and I hope to add a lot more countries to this list though!

I love this thread and I swear it's not just because I started it! :cheeky: I can't wait to grow my list. I'm not sure where we'll go on our next vacation. The last one was Sweden and we spent a ton of time in Stockholm, so I might want to go on more of a beachy/nature type vacation next.

Oh and I've been to Vatican City, too-I always forget that's its own country!

I live in Hawaii and some people consider it a separate country (no, I'm not joking, long story but you can find out about that with teh google).

I need to get out more, apparently. :cheeky:

Love this topic! So envious of a bunch of you who have travelled wide and far. If I won a million dollars, I would travel for life!

Here are mine:

- Canada (obviously, living here currently)
- India
- Egypt
- French Polynesia
- Austria
- Belgium
- Germany
- Netherlands
- UK
- France
- United Arab Emirates (lived here for 18 years)
- Singapore
- Thailand
- USA
- Dominican Republic

Such a small list...*sigh*

ETA: I am hoping we can spend a month in Italy this summer. I have wanted to visit Italy for a long while now, but I don't want to go for just 2 weeks. If things work out, this summer will finally be the year for Italy.

Haven't been to too many places yet because I keep going to Hawaii and NY, but that is about to change. I have a 10 year travel plan.

These are the places i have visited:

French Polynesia- 10 nights in Tahiti & Moorea. Was upgraded to an overbungalow for free for 6 nights at the Hilton Moorea! This was my absolute favorite because we got to swim w/ SHARKS and rays, and we fed them from our deck. It was dirt cheap too because i lucked out on a package deal, plus our exchange rate was excellent. Paid about half what it would normally cost!! Next time we want to do the cruise and stay a few addt'l days in an owb.

England (Loved the people and the pubs!)
Belgium (Bruges and Brussels- LOVED Bruges)
Netherlands (Amsterdam... was just okay for me. It was really dirty w/ broken bottles everywhere)
Hong Kong (twice)
Taiwan (about 20 times, i had family there)
Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and some mountain hot springs resorts. Japan was so-so to me. 2 weeks was too long)
Mexico (5 times)
Canada (Vancouver-3 times, Toronto)
Does an Alaskan cruise count? It's practically Russia... ;-)

i forgot Cuba and Vatican City too

sigh, this thread has me feeling really irritated with my travel plans for the next little while - Jamaica next week but then probably nothing outside of Canada until later in 2012 - except Australia which doesnt count because its just a trip hone :nono:

Turkey

Poland and Turkey might be my favorites but that may have more to do with who I went with.

I'm so jealous of everyone's lists! I've mostly only been to Europe, so I'd love to go some place more "exotic." China, Peru, and Croatia are high on my list.

ETA: I forgot Great Britain and Vatican City

Well, we spent 2 years living in Italy (just moved back last summer), so we've done most of Europe. We also did a trip up to Scandinavia and Russia before moving back to the states, as well as Ireland and London. I have been to a few places in the Carribean as well.

I love to travel! I really miss living overseas and the easy travel you can do within/around Europe. It's not as easy (or cheap!! especially with a family of 5!) from the states, for sure.

Wow, Pandora, you've lived in Kiribati!?

I grew up on Tarawa - my father was the main doctor for the whole Republic. We moved there when it was still a British Colony and left a while after independence. It's one of the reasons I have no interest in shoes I think... I didn't own a pair till I was nine!

Loved living there as a kid, but not sure I'd enjoy it now. Tropical islands look idyllic but having to bath/shower in cold salt-water isn't that great (fresh water was too precious to waste on bathing); the mosquitos; the ship with foodstuffs only calling once a month so by the end of the month everyone was living on fish and coconuts; the cholera epidemic... etc etc

I have never wanted to go back. A few years ago I found a book called 'Sex Lives of Cannibals' written by a guy whose girlfriend was an NGO out there and he'd accompanied her and written this book. I cried my eyes out - both laughing and at what has become of the place. It was an example of British Colonialism at its best and now... OMG, a disaster. So sad.

Have you been there?
