@yssie @Cerulean what do you think? I love the one I’ve circled, but as a pair the shapes seem more disparate than the larger Takahashi finalists.

Ok, I got the skin pics from Takahashi and a hardware pic. For the price, I’m very tempted to get the hardware from them.

But-plot twist-in the natural lighting, the colors look more off to me. I’m happy with the shape match, but asked Takahashi if one of the other large baroques is a better color match to the pearl on the right.

Takahashi just sent me this pic. The color of the matching pairs does nothing for me. The colors are just too pale.

I really love the pearl on the right. Takahashi has confirmed that the pearl on the left is the best color mate to my fave. At this point, I’m inclined to just go it.

There are very few real blue akoya about these days compared to a few years ago. Since no-one is really sure about why they are blue in the first place, all that is clear is that something has changed! Global warming is certainly a suspect.

Normally I’m fairly neurotic about color matching, but I’m much less so with baroque pearls. My baroques are not a perfect match, and I think in this rare instance it adds a bit to their charm.

if these were perfectly round, I’d be annoyed by the color difference - but I do think these are a pretty pair, in a nice size with a pleasing shape especially for the design you are after

if I were you and felt pretty happy with them, I’d personally get them

The weather is rainy and grey here, so it’s hard for me to get good pics in natural light. Here’s a pic my kitchen and a terrible ear shot.

They ARE lovely. Ditto @Cerulean - for whatever reasons matching is much less a concern with baroques for me too - I think because you’re already dealing with organic shape?

They’re beautiful!! The shape works perfectly with the style, I think. And they’re very impressive on the ears - must be nice to have petite earlobes

Thank you ladies! I appreciate the wonkiness of the baroque shapes. The shapes don't match, but I find them complementary. I do particularly love color saturation on the left pearl. Since I part my hair on the side that one will be my featured earring.
And @yssie I've never been told I have petite earlobes. Too bad I kind of have a big head. Thats why I needed the 10 mm vs. the 9 mm

Those turned out really well! I have blue akoya, but my skin tone just swallows it. It ends up looking like normal pinked akoya on me. You can tell they are blue on you, which is so nice! A good pair that's easy to wear and very pretty color play on the pearls.

Here’s a quick pic of the other pearl. It’s more round and doesn’t present as blue as the other. But, overall I’m very happy with these earrings. They are definitely versatile!
