Your on!! Shipping my front yard to you tomorrow! If you even ship up half that heat, I'd be thrilled! 54F sounds pretty sweet compared to our -10c! And that's an improvement of late!justginger|1360463812|3376456 said:Enerchi|1360457912|3376412 said:Ah --- 108!! Seems like a lifetime ago, I was warm!! I'm jealous JG!!
Don't worry - I'll trade you a cooler of blistering hot sand for a cooler of freezing cold snow!

I'm guessing that we got between 24-30 inches, but because of blowing and drifting it's very hard to tell. DH does snow removal in the winter and he left home at 3:30 pm yesterday, he just called and said he wouldn't be home before midnight and that he will have to go back out at 6am.![]()
edit: just checked and we got 33.5 inches! wow!!!![]()

My husband took a walk over to our nearest main street, and even that has not been plowed to the pavement and is very slow going. We shoveled out our cars, but there is no where to go. Our power flickers from time to time, but so far so good. We are hoping to take a walk to the nearest market and get a few supplies. Schools have not officially cancelled, but I do not see how the buses could get through or people in our neighborhood getting out of the house to drive them to school. It is warm today (40s) and will be all week, so hopefully some of it will melt.
I know it was not as bad as the Blizzard of 78, but my neighborhood sure looks it.
And thank you, Missy, for thinking of me.

Ruby59 - Are you still snowed in? We still have yet to see anyone from the town/state, but our road is passable at this point. Parking at work was nuts this morning. There are no spaces left in the lot, so some yahoos just parked to block in (completely, no means of egress!) 30 or so of their co-workers cars. I got one of the last actual spaces in another lot, thankfully!
