I have been enjoying this black steel chain from Amazon. It lends a new look to pendants.

this would be a good alternative to a leather cord for some pendents

What width? 1.5mm? 2mm?

I have a silver bell pendant I'd like to wear with something like that. I'm using a sterling silver chain but the black would provide better contrast.

Yes, I have leather plus twine plus fabric cord, and this chain is the best option.

What width? 1.5mm? 2mm?

i have a lot of trouble doing up clasps
i would have to get a new bail fitted to the pendent fitted rather than go down a size in jump ring

i know copper isnt steel but you got me to open my eyes and look around for different looks

Oooo, I like it, and shall go and investigate, as I used to wear a black cord around my neck, however, that broke and I have yet to find a replacement that I like.

You could replace the jump ring yourself. All you need is two pliers to open the jump ring, replace it and close the new jump ring.

Thanks, I was thinking about doing that but am too lazy to stop by a craft store. I was going to order some off Amazon but they come in like 1000-packs. Will get around to it eventually.
