Hey all,
I had custom diamond ring made for my fiancee. The band was custom designed and molded. The stone is a, gorgeous, Round Brilliant (1.22 carrot, F, VS2, ideal cut) in a Full Bezel Setting. Our appraiser expressed some concerns about keeping the stone clean. His thoughts were, the whole in the back is too small to get a brush in to scrub the stone. Should we be concerned about this? Our warranty has an inspection & cleaning every 6 months. Is there something we can do day-to-day to keep the stone shining in all it''s brilliance?
Also, my dear fiancee has expressed some concerns about the Bezel setting. I love the distinct look but she''s concerned the setting is not showing the diamond in it''s full glory. She thinks a prong setting would show the diamond off better while I think it''s a shame to cut up such a beautiful ring (we both agree it''s a beautiful ring). Any thoughts? I''ll try to get a picture posted. The jeweler loved the ring so much she had it professionally photographed.
thanks for any advice...
